At least I skipped on the Democratic National Convention

Was supposed to make the Nationals game on Sunday Home run hit into the seats I was supposed to have sat at.

EXCITING CUBS FANS!
Question of the day?!? Why does Soriano spit so much? Did his little hop help him drop the ball last night.

Sherm...Fuk-u-do-me
came back with his bat the other night. Edmonds and FUDOME are great outfielders...No Hippity hops. Smitty's back..pictures and all.

DARVIS PATTON.

Onto the Cubs. Five and one half games out!
Six weeks to go!
Looks like Milwaukee would be the Wild Card.
Great come backs.
Check with Sherm's blog to hear the great details

HAPPY 4th of JULY- Pics when the blog works

One of my favorite holidays.
Which one of these guys represents Sherm?

If your not out changing diapers, showing off
your latest hardware gadget, stenting a 300 lb
overweight smoker and saving their life...then you
haven't lived. Right?!?

Time for a Smitty Vent...
I was in Vegas for business in February, May
and now to stay with my 82 year old friend
on 4th of July weekend.
Gas Prices are finally hitting Vegas...I don't see
as many motor homes, cars coming up the
Vegas strip, and people like I have in the
past months let alone years.

Rumor has it that GM is going to plead bankruptcy
so they can eliminate the unions, kick out the
pensioners, and start over. Stock is $10 ish.

Our country needs a leader! What happened to the protests of the
past? I can't remember the last time we had a
nationwide address to the US.

"W" is in hiding. As George said to the Iraqi's...
"Bring it on"
Why aren't you bringing it on George?
The airline industry is on the fencepost along
with the automotive industry.
Then again, any President that wears this jacket....

Step up instead of waiting to step out!
My 2 cents after I fill up my tank.

My vent is officially over.

Onto the Cubs...
As Sherm mentioned in his blog...
this weekend is the make it-break it...and also
this month. Time for the interdivision games.

'Stros, Brewers, and Cards. As far as the Cards go.
One picture speaks for itself. Go Cubs.

If the Cubs would have listened, they could of had
Scott Podsednik and Barry Bonds. Sherm speaks volumes
and finally makes sense on his rant and rave.
Enjoy the pictures...enjoy the weekend...
Enjoy our country!

WE CHOKED! NEW MATERIAL FOR SHERM!

This one HURT! What happened this week?
The Cubs with 5 losses and 1 WIN!

Where was Barrett when yo needed him?
SWEEP! SWEEP!
Even the monkey is amazed!

What else happened this weekend?
Steve Trout was fired into his first 30 days
as the manager for the Texarkana GunSlingers.
If he was anything like he was at Cubs Camp..
then why should anyone be surprised.

And Finally...met Ryno this weekend.
Signed my jersey and enjoyed our conversation.

Ryno signs up to 200 plus autographs

before every Peoria Chiefs game.

I was honored to meet him before the game
and we discussed how Sherm was doing,

the Murnyak strain, and Badmojo's new additions.

I didn't realize he is a big guy with hands the size
of a baseball glove.

Had a good time in Peoria and spent time with
my brother. He is coming along well.

And took my nephew to the Chiefs game and
he received a Ryne Sandburg signed baseball.

Sherm has beat me to a pulp.
  • I'm in Peoria taking my nephew to the Peoria Chiefs game
  • We are 3-1 over the Sox in the "L" series
  • The Cardinals and Brewers are losing too!
  • Mama DeCarlo - Had her views printed in the
USA TODAY on Friday. Go MAMA DeCarlo!
  • Gas is avg $4.10 a gallon. Hook a hose up to
my nephew and we could drop the price a gallon or two
  • I love my loyal readership
  • More to come!

AS PROMISED! UPDATE! HUG ME!

The Blog is updated!
No Worries.
I know you miss me.
Jim Edmonds has been catching alot of balls lately.
Some days he steps up - other days he does not.
On the Cardinals, Edmonds was rumored to
sing "I got the world in my hands"

Obviously he isn't lying.
Add your own caption!

"Is that a Bat in your hand or you
Happy to see me?"

On a up note! Rick Sutcliffe is back in
the ESPN booth!
Congrats to Rick.
He looks a little thinner and I hope that
he will be at the 2009 camp!
WELCOME BACK RICK!

We got lucky on this one

Prior has tear in right shoulder capsule
May 16th, 2008
Corey Brock / MLB.com

Mark Prior's road back to pitching in the Major League has hit a speedbump.
Prior's agent John Boggs confirmed Friday that the right-hander has a tear in
the capsule of his right shoulder, the shoulder he had surgery on in April 2007.

Weekend of Faith, Miracles, Belief, Hope and Prayers!

FAITH
A year ago on Memorial Day weekend
my brother had an emergency heart surgery.
Which turned into a heart transplant
with 72 hours to live.
The odds of finding a heart with an exact
match is slim to none with many people
on waiting lists for years. To find a heart that matches
in less than 12 hours is a MIRACLE....and turned me
into a BELIEVER!
Happy Birthday Jeff! For turning 19
a second time in life!

HOPE

I don't get it!
I was getting my faith back on Soriano.
And he drops the ball.
EVEN I caught everything hit to me in
all the camps that I have played in.
Rain! Sleet! Snow and Sun in
Mesa's Center field I caught.
I HOPE this is a minor setback.
PRAYERS!
And now to some serious stuff.
As many of you may or may not know...
Rick Sutcliffe has Colon Cancer.
The Doctor's feel that they have caught
it in time before it spreads.
Rick and his daughter-Shelby
Rick is a CLASS act and one of the
nicest guys that I have ever had the
pleasure of meeting.
Read the story and say a
prayer for Rick and his family.
Rick deserves to be back at camp in 2009.
Thanks to Sean G for the Story.

Cubs at it again!

Bunch of BS Cubs Fans!
We win today and lose last night.
Bench your Superstar so he
doesn't get the Sammy Sosa disease.
No effort in Left Field....oOooooPss!
It's over my head. Maybe it will
bounce back to me!
I can't catch a fly ball without a
little hop.
I CAN PLAY LEFT FIELD WAY BETTER!
I threw two guys out this year and NO ONE
got more than a Double on me.
I get paid how much to play?
That's right I paid to play!
STUPID ME!
I DON'T SWING AT PITCHES AT MY FEET
I AM TIRED OF THE SORIANO PARADE

Let's get Some Runs!

Can you hear it!?!
We need to get our bats steamin' again.
The 2nd worst team in the Majors
and we end up with a Goose egg.
Who's your underdog!
Bring in Sherm...he can hit better than
they did Sunday.
Have you noticed how the Cubs have a crummy
summer schedule at home in May, June and July?
BAM! POW! ZOWEE!
Holy Right Hook!

One weekend game in the month of June and
it's against the Sox!
Wonder what festivities we will see.
Could be the teams in the World Series!
That would make the 100 year wait worth it.

Friday, April 25, 2008

Was up!?!

Cubs need to start scoring again. The bats went silent.
Even Joe Pepitone agrees...

I know you want to read it!
Good things come to those who wait.
